Joanna (Martin) Stadelman
I joined First Miami as a freshman and was an active intern through graduation in 2004. I progressed from a teller to supervisor to member of the executive team as VP of Loans. I joined the Board of Directors in January 2007 and am happy to be connected to the student interns currently running First Miami. I continue to be impressed with their commitment to growing the Credit Union, and their focus on educating students about personal finance through the “Students for Good Credit” initiative.
After graduation I moved to Chicago and joined the commercial lending training program at LaSalle Bank. Having First Miami on my resume was a huge advantage during interviews! As a First Miami intern I was applying classroom knowledge to running a real-life business, and could discuss many examples of utilizing customer service, leadership, teamwork and public speaking skills.
In August 2008 I became one of many “Miami Mergers” and my married name changed to Joanna Stadelman (my fellow interns knew me as Joanna Martin). I currently live in Cincinnati, OH and continue to work in commercial real estate lending...a challenging but interesting field in the current economy! |
