I have been manager at First Miami since 2000. I retired from my position of Principal of Fairfield High School in 1992. I had served as Principal for eighteen years and a total of twenty four years at Fairfield High School. I retired with a total of thirty two years in education. I recently retired from the AurGroup Credit Union board after serving more than thirty five years. I am completing my last term on the Ohio Credit Union Foundation and have served ten years on that board since assisting the League in setting up the Foundation.
My favorite memories of First Miami are all the bright young people who get hooked on serving the members. Working with bright young people has been my favorite thing for over forty years. Seeing our young people take responsibility for managing a million dollar business and helping them to understand what to do and why we do it provides me with a constant sense of accomplishment.
I really charish comments like the following that come as Seniors graduate: "Without your help and my experiences at the Credit Union, I would not have the same opportunities awaiting me. I really appreciate all you have done to assist and challenge me to become a better, more capable individual ready for the real world."
