Annual Meeting & Board Elections

Notice of Annual Meeting

First Miami is a subsidiary of Miami University Community and Community Federal Credit Union and we will be having our Annual Meeting on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 6:00 pm at LaRosa's Pizza (21 Lynn Ave, Oxford). Newly elected board members will be announced, and the 2022 Annual Report will be presented during this meeting.

Board of Director Nominations

The Nominating Committee, in accordance with MUCCU’s bylaws, is recommending to the membership three individuals to each serve three year terms as Board Directors. These members were chosen for their dedication to our Credit Union and community. Additional nominations for the Board of Directors may be made by petition and signed by no less than 1% of the membership. A separate petition must be completed and submitted for each nomination by 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 8, 2023. You can request petition forms and procedures by contacting MUCCU's Corporate Office at 31 Lynn Ave, Oxford, Ohio 45056. If additional nominations are received, ballots will be mailed to all members on or before July 18, 2023. Nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting will not be accepted.

Candidates

Betsy Hope

Betsy has been a resident of Butler County for 23 years and is currently the Executive Director of the Greater Oxford Community Foundation, a position she has served since 2019. Betsy is a member of the Oxford Rotary and the PEO (Philanthropic Education Association) Chapter CY of Hamilton. She has also been a Certified Fund Raising Executive for 20 years.

Randi Thomas

Randi was the Director of Institutional Relations at Miami University from 1999 until he moved to his current position in the University as the Vice President of ASPIRE, an office for advancing strategy, partnerships, institutional relations, and economy. Randi co-founded First Miami Student Credit Union and served on its Board of Directors for many years. Randi has advocated for credit unions ever since.

Susan Vaughn

Susan has been a member of the Credit Union since 1991 and a member of its Board of Directors since 2014. Susan also serves on the Personnel Committee. She started her Miami career in the Division of Student Affairs in 1986. Susan retired in 2018 as the Director of the Office of Ethics and Student Conflict Resolution. Susan is currently serving as a member of the Hamilton City Council. She enjoys the opportunity to serve her community through her volunteer work with our Credit Union.
